How to Rip DVD to AVI -700mb size with high quality.

Do u know how to Rip DVD to AVI -700mb size with high quality.
Here is a simple but useful way to convert a 4.5 GB DVD movie to a 700MB AVI without loss of quality. Doing this is useful for us in many ways

This can be possible through the two softwares .

PART 1 : DVD decrypter
PART 2 : Auto gk

PART 1: DVD decrypter

STEP 1: Here go to the edit menu and select the main movie files.
STEP 2: Set  file on mode menu.
STEP 3: Go to Tools menu and click settings.
Here go to file mode. On the left side of the menu we have one drop menu. Then go to select files and select a Main movie.
On the right side options are there, then we go to file splitting and select none. Then click OK.
STEP 3: Now we select the destination folder and click on green Play mark.
Its started the decryption of the files.
Now the part is completed….

PART 2 : Auto gk
Now open the Auto gk. Here 4 steps are there.
STEP 1: Select input and output file
Here select the input file (decrypted file). In the decrypted file, we show the two files are there.
One is the VTS_01_0  and another one is the VTS_01_1.Here we select the VTS_01_0 file. This file size is only on Kilo bytes. Then open this. And set the destination folder also.
STEP 2: select audio track and subtitle track.
If u want to subtitle titles click on subtitile track otherwise leave it.
STEP 3: select output size.
If you’re ripping a TV, set the preferred size to 350MB, if you’re ripping a movie, choose either 700MB or 1400MB, depending on your preference:
STEP 4: Advanced parameters.
Here we select the advanced settings.
The first part of the Advanced Settings is the Output Resolution Settings. It allows to set the horizontal resolution of the movie you are using. There are a few options for this.
Auto width, Minimum width, fixed width, maximum width. My preference in this options is Fixed width 640 (or) u r choice.
The second part is Output audio type. Here select any one. My preference is 3rd one VBR MP3,kbps and select 250 to 320.
The next section of Advanced Settings is the Codec selection part.
For this you want to select XviD and you are done
Next we come to the subtitle options part. Then select any one.
Then click OK.
Previewing:
You can now choose to see a preview by selecting the Preview button. Be warned that a preview takes about 5-10 minutes to load before you can view it.
And AUTO GK have hidden options. For hidden options click ctrl+f9.
If u know that options continue…. Otherwise go back.
Starting the encoding process and finishing up
Now click on add job and start….
The convertion process will take more than 3 hours according to u r PC performance and the length of  the video.
And final output will be in awesome quality.
Enjoy.

Blu-Ray disks

A current, single-sided, standard DVD can hold 4.7 GB (gigabytes) of information. That's about the size of an average two-hour, standard-definition movie with a few extra features. But a high-definition movie, which has a much clearer image (see How Digital Television Works), takes up about five times more bandwidth and therefore requires a disc with about five times more storage. As TV sets and movie studios make the movie to high definition, consumers are going to need playback systems with a lot more storage capacity.
A single-layer Blu-ray disc, which is roughly the same size as a DVD, can hold up to 27 GB of data -- that's more than two hours of high-definition video or about 13 hours of standard video
A double-layer Blu-ray disc can store up to 54 GB, enough to hold about 4.5 hours of high-definition video or more than 20 hours of standard video. And there are even plans in the works to develop a disc with twice that amount of storage.

My article is about BLU-RAY.... Read on scribd.
A maximum information about BLU-RAY is given in this article
