Hidden Reflex, an Indian start-up with a bunch of people, has rolled out the first Web browser for India. Based on the open source Mozilla platform, the new Web browser 'Epic' comes with a host of features and boasts to offer ease of use.
India is the primary focus of the browser; its India sidebar supports Indian content by providing users access to the latest national and regional news from popular publications, live television channels, videos, stock quotes, live cricket scores, top music albums and local events. It currently supports 12 Indian languages.
To allow you to browse safely over the Web and keep all threats at bay, it comes with an in-built anti-virus solution. It warns you as and when you browse a website loaded with viruses and spywares.
Epic is claimed to be the first browser to include a suite of productivity applications including a free word processor, video sidebar (picture-in-picture functionality), communication apps like Facebook and Twitter, My Computer file browser, and 1500+ free, user-installable sidebar apps in the Epic Apps Store.
The company mentions on its website: "Hidden Reflex began as a team of three but soon progressed and now has dedicated teams working on two products simultaneously – the Epic Browser and NewsDrink. The company also has three patents pending related to its product innovations."
